Dallas carries four outs and a doubtful Howard into Indiana

What changed

The official NBA report lists Santi Aldama, Tarik Biberovic, Dereck Lively II and Caleb Martin out for Friday at Indiana. Jett Howard is doubtful with right-calf tightness and soreness.

The absences stretch Dallas at different spots: Aldama and Lively remove frontcourt options, Martin takes away an experienced wing, and Biberovic and Howard reduce shooting depth. Walter Clayton Jr. was not listed on the report after signing a two-way contract Wednesday.

Indiana has its own limits. Johnny Furphy and T.J. McConnell are out, while Aaron Nesmith and Ben Sheppard are questionable. The league report is the status snapshot to trust this morning; availability can still change before the 7 p.m. Eastern tip.
